A reason to celebrate: Our 10th network meeting in Burgos, Spain

In the first week of February 2017, the Ice Age Europe network members assembled again to plan the projects of the current year. It has been a special meeting as we celebrated an anniversary: our 10th gathering since the idea to establish the network!
This time, we were guests of the CENIEH, the Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana, as well as the Museo de la Evolución Humana in Burgos.
And of course the meeting in Burgos included a trip to the famous Atapuerca site and CAREX, the Centro de Arqueología Experimental. Getting to know the network partners, learning about their work and current projects is a vital part of our network activities.
During our network sessions, the members shared updates from their sites and together we planned the projects of the current year – including a brand new Ice Age Europe touring exhibition (more information coming soon).
Throughout the meeting, the importance of pan-European collaboration has been stressed and we are proud that the Ice Age Europe network with its 20 members from Gibraltar to Croatia serves as a living example of the many benefits that arise from cross-border cooperation. If you are considering joining the network, you can find more information > here.
