After more than 25 years of existence, the Solutré Museum has been getting involved in a museographic project for improving and modernizing the presentation of collections and also for renewing the scientific thought and the new issues in research about prehistory.

Moreover, the museum is commited in a partnership apporach to develop new projects and targeting more people. As a consequence, many teaching aids were created to make the museum accessible for all. For instance, the Museum has the quality label “Tourism and handicap” since 2012. The museum has also received the specific distinction of the “Patrimoine pour tous, Patrimoine pour chacun” Prize in 2012. The jury rewarded the work made by the museum team for many years, whose members want to enable people with disabilities to discover the prehistory in an adapted and attractive way.
