Neanderland

The neanderland with the Neander Valley at it´s very heart, is characterized by its long history. Traces of its changeful past are visible at many places in the region to this day: distinctive, often extraordinary architecture from all eras marks the region – from the Roman fort to the medieval castle and the typical slated houses of the Bergisches Land to the modern sacral building. Stroll through picturesque village centres, discover historic buildings with new uses, browse in bookshops or glance at the stars – and get to know the region with all its facets.
